Write without needing to get it right

A notebook can hold appointments, but it can also hold one sentence you want to remember. Putting a thought on paper often gives mixed feelings a little more space and shape.

There is no perfect format, and it does not have to happen every day. Opening the page and pausing for a few minutes is already an act of care.

Let plants remind you to take your time

Watering a plant or noticing a new leaf draws attention back to the passing of time. Plants respond quietly to light, seasons and care; they do not hurry their changes.

Bringing that observation into our own lives can leave us with a little more patience for an ordinary day.

Between a notebook page and a little green by the window, there can be room to soften.
